"I received my beautiful jack murphy coat as a Christmas present I am so delighted with it. The style and quality are first class. So delighted with my coat that I have purchased another one in a different colour"
“My raincoat traveled from Dublin to Boston, MA USA just in time for our spring rains. I love my new jacket! I love the plaid on the inside and the soft flannel pockets. It fits great and keeps me warm & dry. Thank you, Jack Murphy for making this awesome raincoat!”
“Stylish and affordable, I am a huge fan of Jack Murphy clothing. The fit is always spot on, an area where other makes fail. As the trust is now there, I go back to them time and time again with confidence for all my country wear. My daughter first introduced me to the brand and we both highly recommend, especially for coats and jackets.”
Jack Murphy began his career in the garment industry in the 40’s, specialising in corstery. Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1922, he like many at the time, served in WWII. After returning from the war, he moved to Skerries, Co. Dublin with his wife Frances where he started up his own niche corstery business.
With this expert knowledge of garment structure and ladies fashion, and taking the outdoor functional military attire into consideration, soon the Jack Murphy brand was born.
Jack was a family man, so it’s no surprise that his son Michael, and his granddaughter Sarah are continuing on his elegant legacy. Creating beautiful, purposeful clothing that is made to last; Jack Murphy the brand is committed to slow fashion and tailored functionality in every collection.
Staying true to these values, each piece still carries Jack‘s personal signature of authentication. We want to capture the essence of self-expression, comfort and pride when wearing Jack Murphy and in doing so, we hope you will pass this joy and jacket on to the next generation.
