Women's Long Coats & Jackets

Long coats bring a sense of ease to everyday dressing. They offer coverage without feeling heavy, and structure without looking formal. This collection of long coats for women is shaped around those qualities—pieces that sit comfortably in daily life while offering a composed, finished look.

Designed in Dublin, these styles reflect the kind of coats you reach for regularly. Longer lines create a flattering silhouette, while clean cuts keep movement easy through busy days. You’ll find options that lean tailored as well as softer, more relaxed shapes, giving you flexibility across seasons and settings.

Our women’s long jackets are made to layer comfortably over knitwear, dresses, or everyday separates. Fabrics in this collection include wool, tweed, structured blends, and waterproof fabrics chosen for warmth, shape retention, and regular wear, with close attention to how each coat hangs and fastens.

Whether you’re drawn to a long, tailored coat for women, or prefer something more casual, this collection brings together versatile outerwear designed to stay relevant year after year. These are coats designed for regular wear, not occasional use.

Designed for Everyday Wear

Long coats work best when they feel natural to put on. The proportions across this collection are carefully balanced, offering coverage without restricting movement. Sleeves, shoulders, and hems are shaped to sit comfortably through regular wear, commuting, and time outdoors, with longer waterproof styles that offer added protection without feeling bulky.

Tailored Shapes Without the Formal Feel

Many styles in this edit draw on tailoring but remain easy to wear. Clean lines, gentle structure, and subtle shaping give definition without stiffness. Our long coats for women feel composed but never overdone—ideal for everyday dressing rather than occasion wear.

Fabrics Chosen to Last

Fabrics are selected for how they perform over time, not just how they look when new. This includes wool and tweed styles made using 100% Donegal-woven wool tweed and premium Yorkshire-woven wool tweed from Moons, so these women’s long jackets continue to hold their shape and appeal with regular wear.

How should a long coat fit?

A long coat should feel comfortable through the shoulders and arms, with enough room for light to mid-weight layers. It should fasten easily without pulling, while the length sits neatly without feeling restrictive when walking or sitting.

Are long coats suitable for everyday wear?

Yes. Long coats are well suited to daily use, offering added cover while staying easy to move in. The styles in this collection are designed to feel practical and comfortable rather than heavy or overly formal.

What’s the difference between a long coat and a long jacket?

A long coat typically offers more structure and length, often sitting below the knee and incorporating tailored elements. Long jackets tend to feel lighter and more casual, with slightly shorter lengths.

Can long coats be worn across seasons?

Many long coats work well through autumn, winter, and early spring – our long waterproof coats will even keep you dry in rainy weather. Layering allows you to adapt to temperature changes, making them a versatile choice rather than something reserved for colder months only.
