Designed for Unpredictable Weather

Irish weather rarely follows the script, so these women’s long water-resistant coats are influenced for real conditions. The extended length provides reliable protection, while taped seams help prevent rain from passing through the stitching. Each coat is made to feel reassuring on days when the elements are at their harshest.

Crafted for Long-Term Wear

A water-resistant coat should hold its structure and comfort over time. These designs use durable fabrics, smooth linings, and secure construction that support regular use. The workmanship is deliberate and considered, reflecting our commitment to coats that stay classic rather than seasonal.

Comfortable, Refined, Everyday Design

Thoughtful details set these coats apart. Balanced proportions allow easy movement, pockets are designed for practicality, and hood shapes stay secure without adding bulk. The palette and finishes keep the look polished and versatile, giving you a coat that feels refined without ever being delicate.

Are Jack Murphy long waterproof coats fully water resistant?

Yes. Our waterproof coats use water-resistant or waterproof finishes, depending on the style, along with taped seams. All long waterproof coats in this collection meet a minimum waterproof rating of 5,000mm, with some styles rated up to 20,000mm. This means the fabric is tested to resist sustained rain, with higher ratings offering greater protection. You’ll find the exact waterproof rating listed on each individual product page.

How should I care for a waterproof coat?

Always follow the care label, as requirements vary by fabric. Gentle cleaning and occasional reproofing may help maintain performance.

Will a long waterproof coat feel heavy?

No. We design these coats to offer reliable coverage without excess weight, making them comfortable for daily wear.

Can I layer knitwear under these coats?

Yes. The cuts allow room for mid-weight knitwear, letting you adapt to changing temperatures throughout the year.
