Women's Wax Jackets

Wax jackets have long been part of everyday outerwear across Ireland and the UK. Practical, dependable, and easy to live in, they offer protection without the weight or technical feel of modern rainwear. Our collection of ladies wax jackets brings that tradition into a refined, wearable edit designed for regular use.

Each jacket is made using premium waxed cotton sourced from Halley Stevensons, a respected Scottish mill known for its heritage fabric development. The cloth helps guard against wind and light rain while remaining comfortable through long days outdoors. With wear, it softens and develops character, giving every jacket a finish that feels individual rather than pristine.

These wax jackets for women are designed with versatility in mind. Shorter lengths allow for ease of movement, while considered cuts leave room for layering without bulk. Details are kept practical and purposeful, from secure fastenings to collars that sit neatly worn up or down.

Designed in Dublin and influenced by real conditions, this collection focuses on jackets you’ll reach for often. Reliable, comfortable, and undeniably classic, they’re designed to be worn often, working easily with the clothes you already own.

Built Around Waxed Cotton

Waxed cotton is chosen for how it behaves in daily wear rather than how it looks on day one. It shields against wind and light rain while staying flexible enough for long hours on the move. These ladies wax cotton jackets are shaped to feel natural when worn. That means easy through the body, steady across the shoulders, and suited to layering as conditions change.

Easy to Wear, Easy to Live With

These jackets are designed for everyday movement. Whether you’re walking, commuting, or spending time outdoors, the shapes allow freedom without losing structure. Clean lines and grounded colours make them straightforward to style with knitwear, denim, or heavier layers as temperatures shift.

Designed for Repeat Wear

Rather than chasing trends, this collection focuses on jackets made to last. Durable fabrics, careful construction, and practical finishes support regular use year after year. These ladies wax jackets are designed for everyday wear, working just as easily with casual layers as with dressier outfits.

When is a ladies wax jacket most useful?

Wax jackets work well in mild to cool weather when conditions are unsettled rather than heavy. They’re ideal for everyday wear, outdoor errands, walking, and travel where you want protection without a bulky coat.

Do wax jackets feel stiff when new?

Waxed cotton can feel structured at first, but it softens with wear. Over time, the fabric becomes more flexible and develops a lived-in feel that’s unique to each jacket.

Are women’s wax jackets suitable for city wear as well as outdoors?

Yes. These styles are designed to sit comfortably in both settings. Clean lines and classic colours make them easy to wear day to day, whether you’re in town or spending time outside.

Will a wax jacket change in appearance over time?

Yes. With regular wear, waxed cotton develops subtle creasing and variation that adds character rather than wear. This natural ageing is part of what makes wax jackets so well-loved.
