Behind the Lens: A Look Inside Our Autumn/Winter 24' Photoshoots

Every Jack Murphy photoshoot is more than a backdrop. It’s a story. Last year, we set out across the west of Ireland to showcase the craftsmanship behind our  Autumn/Winter 24’ collection, working with people and places that reflect the spirit of our garments: rooted in heritage, shaped by the elements, and always looking forward.

Westport House - Heritage Meets Modern Revival

We were honoured to shoot at the historic Westport House, once said to be home to Grace O’Malley, the legendary Pirate Queen.

A fearless leader and seafarer in 16th-century Ireland, Grace commanded fleets, negotiated with monarchs, and famously refused to bow to Queen Elizabeth I - a symbol of her unwavering independence. Her legacy lives on through stories of rebellion, resilience, and strength - values we’re proud to echo through our designs.

Westport house is currently undergoing an exciting transformation into a cultural and leisure destination, while retaining its timeless charm.

Our sincere thanks to Biddy and the team who welcomed us warmly and made the shoot possible we encourage everyone to make the worth while trip to the stunning house, grounds and adventure centre.

Inside the grand library, the old kitchens, and out on the estate grounds, we captured some of our most iconic men's & womenswear pieces - tweed jackets, tailored outerwear, and elevated staples built for power dressing with a nod to the past.

This shoot also had a few four-legged stars. The dogs you’ll spot in our images were rescued from a local sanctuary and brought both elegance and mischief to the day - paw prints and all.

Killary Sheep Farm - Wild Atlantic Beauty

Sheep Farm

Our journey continued to what might be the most picturesque sheep farm in Ireland: Killary Sheep Farm,

Killary Fjord

nestled along the Killary Fjord, the country’s only fjord. With sweeping mountain views, crashing wind, and even a few lamb cuddles, this was a day to remember.

The farm setting brought out the heart of our tweed collection - 100% wool, naturally insulating, and designed to stand up to the elements. Surrounded by nature (and plenty of sheep), our garments felt perfectly at home.

Around Killary - Adventure and Hospitality

While in the area, we stopped by the Leenane Hotel, where the views are only matched by the welcome. The only hotel in Connemara serving the fresh mussels farmed right from the fjord, it’s the kind of place you don’t forget.

We also visited the Killary Adventure Centre, a family-run hub for watersports, food, and outdoor fun. Whether you're sailing the fjord or sheltering from an Atlantic squall, our waterproof outerwear was made for this.

In Collaboration

Bringing this shoot to life took a dedicated team - from the photographers and stylists to the local partners who opened their doors and fields to us. We’re proud to collaborate with such passionate people who share our love for Ireland’s landscape and legacy.

This season's collection was designed with places like these in mind.

Clothes to move in, layer up in, and feel good in - no matter where the wind takes you.
